Mini Sessions

Mini Sessions are great for holiday cards, gifts and unforgettable family portraits for your walls. Locations include, but are not limited to, San Francisco and Sacramento parks and beaches, old Sacramento and our Land Park studio and San Francisco studio. Mini sessions may be used for families, couples, kids, babies, individuals, senior portraits, pets and even boudoir. We photograph rain or shine and some of our favorite images come out of inclement weather!

Mini Sessions are available for $150.  Use our online calendar to book your mini session dates.
When you have selected a mini session appointment time, we’ll contact you to schedule a 15 minute phone consultation. During this call, we’ll be able to discuss who will be in your portrait, clothing, makeup, and go over our products so we can photograph with your desired outcome in mind. We will also schedule your viewing appointment which is an hour meeting in either our Sacramento or San Francisco studio where we’ll be viewing your images and placing your order.

Our January mini sessions are both “in-studio”, which is no coincidence. Apart from having control over weather and lighting, studio sessions offer privacy that many people prefer, especially for January’s most popular portrait = boudoir. It’s the time of year when you may want to make dinner reservations for Valentine’s day, and a perfect time to book a boudoir session….tasteful images with perfect lighting (even hair and makeup*) to share with your special someone on February 14th.
Be sure to schedule soon and place your order before February 1st for guaranteed order delivery by Valentine’s day.

January mini session dates:
Monday, January 16th (a holiday for many) @ the Sacramento studio
Friday, January 20th @ the San Francisco studio

February mini session dates:
Saturday, February 4th @ Berkeley Marina
Sunday, February 12th @ Old Town Sacramento
Monday, February 20th @ the San Francisco studio
Friday, February 24th @ the Sacramento studio

Please note:

1. All 3 sessions must be completed in sequence. Portrait sessions booked without a phone consultation will be canceled.
2. We only offer online proofing with a $500 non refundable deposit. No exceptions.
3. Mini Sessions are only available on predetermined days and locations (usually 2-4 times a month).
4. We only offer weekend mini sessions during the holiday season. However, we try to schedule as many mini sessions on school holidays as possible.
5. If you would prefer a custom date or location you may upgrade your mini session to one of our regular sessions for the price difference of $145 (regular sessions are $295). This also includes an in person consultation, an hour long portrait session and a 90 minute viewing appointment.
6. Appointments cancelled or missed with less than 24 hours notice will forfeit their retainer/Groupon.
7. You may combine Groupons for a longer session (recommended for large extended family groups) or to take advantage of multiple locations/themes throughout the year, but combined Groupons may only redeem one of the included prints or holiday cards.
8. Mini sessions may not be used for commercial shoots, headshots, weddings or events.
